Deep Cove Daze 2009 - Carribean Cove

DEEP COVE DAZE 2009

Organizing this event, took only four months. There was so much to think about and so much that could only be done days before the event, if not on the night before. This was also one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

I learned so much about myself. Like what happens when I get really stressed out and how I deal with other people on a professional level.

Alina Wilson was my partner in crime for organizing and she was amazing! She worked he butt off everyday of the week.

On the day of the event, it was an amazing sunny day, the park was packed with people and the Beer Garden was at max capacity.

The volunteers were working so hard to fill all of the empty shifts. I am truly grateful for their help and I will never forget it.

The musical performances were amazing. Stef Lang, Giraffe Aftermath, Satori Tide and Ghost Brothers; the crowd loved them all! Stef Lang's vocals and lyrics have always been my favourite about her music. Lots of people on the day of the event were telling me that they loved Giraffe Aftermath. Satori Tide were doing their thing that sounds so good! Ghost Brothers sounded amazing and went hand-in-hand with our island theme.

I never got a chance to see how the Children's Stage was doing during the whole event. But every time I looked over it was packed, sometimes even over capacity. Everyone was saying that the Deep Cove Daze Idol and Capoeria were awesome.

All of the work myself, Alina, Tyler, Staff of Deep Cove Music and DCM Studios and the volunteers really paid off. The event just turned out so amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better day.

It was the most amazing day of my life.
