A Big Thank You!

I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all of you readers out there!  I just looked at my stats for this blog and even though a lot of people are looking at my picture of Sheldon Cooper, it is still nice to see how many people have at least viewed this site.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Need a new Hair Cut

Current Hair: Mop on my head
Gah!  This happens every month!  As soon as my hair grows like a centimeter, I have giant freak out and feel the desperate need to cut my hair.   I love having short hair, but I want to have the medium length hair too!  I don't think I can go back to having long hair again:

This is the shortest my long hair has been.  It use to be down to my mid-back area!

Yeah.... I don't want to have long hair again. It was too much work.  But I am considering growing it to something similar to this cartoon:

Ramona Flowers: A true role model for young girls.

Which is kinda long... I guess.  I don't know!!!! Or I can always go back to my tried, tested and true: FAUHAWK!
Mmmm short hair!  So easy to take care of!

Mobile ATM?

This is a Mobile ATM on Koh San Road in Bangkok.  I thought this was absolutely hilarious so I took a picture!  Has anyone ever seen these contraptions in North America?  I haven't.  Well..... maybe after I saw this one at events and festivals.  Now you can have money wherever you go!  How wonderful!

Bills.... LAME!

Well this made me feel emotions yesterday:

I am really upset overthe Bills C-11 and C-30 (I think) that invovle  monitoring people's internet usage.  The authorities don't even have to have reason to go looking up your stuff, they can just do it!  But this will also mean that the service providers will have to hold on to all your information IN CASE that happens. LAME!  Please watch and share!

This sort of thing reminds me of V for Vendetta, George Orwell's 1984 and Hunger Games.  All of those things where the goverment has to MONITOR to you at all times.

This one made me MAD:

Yeah!  Let's all pay more taxes so that we can get kids through criminal education school!  It is win-win for everyone!  Boo on Bill C-10!  LAME!

Again please watch and share these!

Dear Dream Job.....

Dear Dream Job,

I know you exist out there.  I know that you someone is currently living my dream job and it was their dream job.  But maybe they don't want it anymore?  Maybe it is time for them to move on, to bigger and better things!  It's my turn, Dream Job!  Yes it is!  I want to be able to get paid for doing what I love to do for a company that I am proud of!  I know you are out there Dream Job!  You are just missing me!

I am a motivated team player, who loves to work in fun environments surrounded by fun-loving people.  I have gain a mass amount of experience from my previous work and volunteer places: organizational, multitasking, prioritizing, administration, management, coordination, production, planning and scheduling skills.  I work extremely well under stress and high pressure situations.

You are out there Dream Job, and I just need to find you.  Oh, by the way... you also pay me....LOTS!  Well enough that I can do all those things I want to do too... and buy all those things I want to buy.  I know you are out there... just waiting for me to holler.  And to let you know... I'M COMING FOR YA!

Getting Itchy!

Rants:

So I have been home for about six weeks now and I already have that feeling of the travel bug getting itchy again.  I really want to do SOMETHING that involves exploring a new place!  Just for a weekend even. I want use my passport again, apply for a visa and cross a border!

One of the few reasons why Singapore was awesome is that it was so easy to go somewhere for the weekend because I could be in another country in half an hour if I wanted to AND the flights were super cheap.

Here in VANCOUVER, which is not a North American airport hub, it is VERY expensive to fly ANYWHERE.  I mentioned the "hub" part because it means there are less flights in and out of here.  When I compare flights to the USA from here to leaving from Seattle, the prices are cut in half!  Also, Vancouver is kinda far from the East Coast of the country.  So getting over there is expensive and the flight is about 5 hours.

I should probably look closer to home into places I could go exploring, like the Gulf Islands, interior BC, Northern Washington and..... Northern BC?  Maybe I should even closer, like around the Lower Mainland.  There are so many places and things to do all over this place, why do I still feel like I need to leave?  Gah!

What to do, where to go....... PS I lost these shorts because I forgot them at a Vietnam tailor shop... Damn!... I miss traveling!

2011: Reflection, 2012: Aspirations

Hello Readers!

So I don't want to brag about my 2011, but this past year was amazing! I have traveled so much this year and have gained so much experience from my travels and living aboard, I cannot believe I am sitting on the other side it all already!

Places I visited:
- Krabi, Thailand
- Bangkok, Thailand
- Siem Reap, Cambodia
- Malacca, Malaysia
- Penang, Malaysia
- Hong Kong
- Yogkarta, Indonesia
- Yangon, Myanmar
- Inle Lake, Myanmar
- Mandalay, Myanmar
- Bagan, Myanmar
- Lurong Prabang, Laos
- Ha Noi, Vietnam
- Ha Long Bay, Vietnam
- New Delhi, India
- Pushkar, India
- Jaipur, India
- Agra, India
- Varanasi, India
- Darjeeling, India
- Kathmandu, Nepal
- Chengdu, China
- Lijang, China
- Dali, China
- Beijing, China
- Tokyo, Japan
- Kyoto, Japan
- Osaka, Japan
- Hiroshima, Japan

All the while I was living overseas.

Also during my time spent overseas, I got one of the most fantastic jobs I have ever had with Infocus Asia.  It was an amazing experience and I will not soon forget it!  The people that I met there were some of the most amazing people and they have all left some deep footprints on me.  I wish them all the best of luck and hope they are all surviving the bootcamp ;)

Now it is time to look forward to 2012, resolutions for this upcoming year:
1. Eating 5 meals a week that don't have meat, that are lunch or dinner.  Breakfast is too easy not to have meat.
2. Work out more!  When I was in Singapore I worked out from Monday to Friday everyday for an hour.  I found that having work outs incorporated to heavily into my daily routine that it was easier to stick with it!  I want to repeat this again this year!
3. Continue traveling.  If I can't go to new countries every month like last year, then I would at least like to visit new places I have haven't been to around here.  Like I have not explored much of interior BC, or north of Whistler.  So I hope to continue exploring because I was bit HARD by that traveling bug and I really feel like satisfying that itch!

I hope that 2012 will be an exciting year and more exciting that 2011.  It will be a tough to beat, but I am going to work very hard to make it a memorable year!

Thanks for reading!
